U.S. Policy Toward the Arab-Israeli Conflict

A Lecture by Harvey Sicherman

On October 16-17, 2004, the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s Marvin Wachman Fund for International Education held its 12th History Institute for Teachers focusing on “A New Middle East? The War on Terror and Its Regional Impact.”

Specially designed for secondary school teachers and curriculum supervisors, the program featured a series of lectures by leading scholars in several fields. Forty teachers from 15 states attended the weekend conference.

Harvey Sicherman, Ph.D., is President of the Foreign Policy Research Institute and a former aide to three U.S. secretaries of state. His many essays on the Middle East and other subjects can be found on this website.

His lecture focused on U.S. Policy toward the Arab-Israeli conflict.
